The Queensland Thunderbirds are our representative team in Quidditch Australia's yearly State Shield tournament. Each year, the best players from all Queensland clubs are selected to compete in the tournament, testing their mettle against New South Wales and Victoria. Since 2016, the Thunderbirds have been showing their rivals that they're hungry to improve, despite being the newest and smallest state in the competition.

The Thunderbirds came 4th in the 2019 State Shield, narrowly losing to NSW's B team, the Bluebottles. With more National representative players on the team than ever before, 2020's tournament is set to be Queensland's best yet.
